More medical students in 2012 Posted: 26 March 2010; Category: National SINGAPORE: The year 2012 has been set as the target date in which the intake of the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine will increase to 300.

The school accepted 250 students in 2007, Senior Minister of State (Trade and Industry and Education) S Iswaran said on Wednesday. He also said that tertiary education institutions here have been working with the Ministry of Health to increase their intakes for nursing and allied health studies.

For instance, more than 80 places are available in NUSí nursing degree programme each year while Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Nanyang Polytechnic together offer over 1,000 places for their nursing diplomas.
