Vote for top graduate employer Posted: 17 June 2010; Category: National A NEW graduate survey has been launched in Singapore to find the nation's top graduate employers.

Singaporean students and graduates - both home and abroad - are to be polled over the next five months for Singapore's 100 Leading Graduate Employers 2010 survey.

Organised by GTI media and its strategic partner CPA Australia, the exercise will culminate in an inaugural awards ceremony to be held on Nov 1 at the InterContinental Hotel. The awards night is slated to celebrate and recognise both the strength of employer brands on campus and excellence in graduate recruitment.

The event joins GTI's other global graduate employment surveys held in Britain, Ireland, Germany, Malaysia and, most recently, Hong Kong.

Audit firms took top honours at Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers last year with PricewaterhouseCoopers clinching top spot, followed by Ernst & Young in second and Shell Malaysia third.

Unlike Fortune Magazine's annual ranking of America's top 100 employers - which polls employees from the respective companies - Singapore's 100 listing is a perception survey that includes an assessment of recruitment initiatives and the campus marketing efforts of employers keen to take on new talent.

Fortune ranked software developer SAS first for 2010, knocking Internet giant Google down from the top spot to fourth place.

'The results of this survey will provide a gauge to employers of what our graduates' views and preferences are in terms of their employer of choice,' said Mr Chaly Mah, president of the Singapore division of CPA Australia and chief executive of Deloitte Asia Pacific.

Mr Mah added that employer brand image was a 'pivotal factor in attracting the best talent and prevent employees walking out the door'.

More than 200 employers across 16 sectors are included in the survey, which can be accessed at www.singapores100.com
